Went to the gun show today:
Lots of over priced stuff to see as usual and was crowded as f**k...
Their was some guns that were priced reasonable but no great deals, almost went home with a Romanian PSL (or Romack?) for around $750 but I spotted this beauty at the last minute and had to have it. Model 94 30-30 Also spotted a "New in Box" Daisy double barrel BB gun, will post pics as soon as we figure out how to get them from the phone. |

WhooHooo! Welcome to the world of Lever Actions! Sweet!
Was that customized, or did it come in black like that? We came close to getting a Model 94 a while back, but had to pass. There are a lot of great deals to be had on those Winny's. BTW, we went to a gun show today also. Not a lot of great deals to be had, but if I'd had the money I could have spent about $10K on all the higher end older guns I wanted. Wouldn't mind seeing some more pictures of the 94... and the Daisy Double. What were they asking for the Daisy? Ken Firearms Price Guide...For What It's Worth. Join Us On Facebook! Never seen an all-black Win 94. Of course, I never really looked either. I like it a lot.

RE: Went to the gun show today:
This was not what I was looking for, I wanted the classic lookin one for collecting, but all of those were $350 and up. When the guy said 250 I knew I was goin home with it.
Yup, I liked it too, I like the black guns and it's kinda cool looking what someone did to this old classic style gun. The stock and forgrip are wood, the dude that sold it to me called it some kind of coating. It feels kinda cool and seems durable (not easy to scratch) but it smells kinda like paint. The rest of it is an OD green, kinda like the ARs, but it scratches easy= I know it's paint. Overall the way whoever did this to this gun, it looks like it was done nice= taken apart and sprayed evenly peice by peice. Did see another all black 94 there, all the metal was shiny black and the stock and grip were black plastic, it looked factory, that guy wanted 350 for it. I probably didn't get a great deal but I like it. |

Well, for that price it would be a great gun to refurbish. Personally, I would take it apart and bring back the wood grain, and strip any paint off it. I like wood, and lever actions aren't the right tool for the tactical job, but that's just me. That, and I can't leave well enough alone. I like to work with wood and I would love to get my hands on a stock like that just to see what's underneith. Either way, you did good. If you like it the way it is, shoot the piss out of it and enjoy it. Ken Firearms Price Guide...For What It's Worth. Join Us On Facebook! Check Out Our Blog! |
