Daisy Double Barrel
Saw this on Gun Broker and about flipped! What a cool addition to an air rifle collection this would be!
Here's the link to the auction, but as of this post it has 5 hours to go and is all the way up to over $1000!!! http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIte...=149536616 From the auction description: Manufactured in the late 1930's to early 1940's. It is arguably the most desireable of the collectable Daisy's. This gun is fully functional and 100% original. The stocks are solid, the safty works, it cocks and fires both barrels with a strong report. I did not fire a BB. The photos tell the tale on the metal finish. It retains 85% to 90% of it's finish. There is patina and some light pepper on the reciever. The reciever locking device is finiky sometimes. I struggled deciding to sell this Daisy. I have enjoyed owning it, now some lucky Daisy fan can too. With this one you can "shoot both your eyes out". Here are some pictures from the auction: Ken Firearms Price Guide...For What It's Worth. I see it ended at over $1300! Wow!
There are two more on Gunbroker right now, one is even nicer than the one above (though not nearly as old): http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIte...=150544549 Ken Firearms Price Guide...For What It's Worth. Join Us On Facebook! Check Out Our Blog! |

RE: Daisy Double Barrel
OH good Lord I gotta have one of those!!! I'd never seen such a thing and it's freakin awesome!... I wonder why I haven't ever seen one of these beauties before?
I wanted the new pump action Daisy that we seen a Dicks yesterday, but I thought 50 bucks was a bit much for a BB gun. After seening these go for over a grand, I am now reconsidering. Cool find Dude... |

RE: Daisy Double Barrel
That is so F*ing cool. Makes a Red Rider look like a girlie pop gun. Wonder why Daisy quit making such a cool gun. Understandibly, a lot more parts involved, but with the costs of some of today's BB guns, I'm sure Daisy would of made a few(lot) bucks off it. That sucker has every COOL FACTOR to it as a genuine firearm. Thanks for sharing.

RE: Daisy Double Barrel
Well that really nice one ended at only $705. I figured it would do better because of it's condition, but $705 is still a fat haul for a FREAKIN BB GUN!
Maybe it had something to do with the timing of the ending, Xmas weekend is probably not the best time to end an auction. |

Might have been lesser because it was a bit newer than the other one. Who knows...? Ken Firearms Price Guide...For What It's Worth. Join Us On Facebook! Check Out Our Blog! |

RE: Daisy Double Barrel
Seen this today at the gun show, it's just as awesome in person as in the pictures. I really wanted this thing, but not bad enough to give him 1100 bucks for it. It was cool to see it n real life tho...
Now that I think of it, the reason that the older one went for so much was because it was a short run (2 years production) with wood stock and forgrip and not plastic like this one. Oh yeah, this guy was asking $225 for that Red Rider beside it, so yeah, his prices are a little optomistic. |
