I have a model 97 in 12 ga. 30" barrel full choke. Serial # says it was made in 1941.
At some time, somone took off the butt plate, and put on a recoil pad.
I measured the stock and it was not cut down.
My question:.... Would it be worth the trouble to remove the pad and hunt down and reinstall a buttplate?
I intend to sell it and was offered $450 "as is"...
