Johnny and His Marlin

Johnny is getting to be a crack shot with his little Marlin Model 15Y. I have added a scope since these pictures were taken, and he is pretty accurate at 25 yards. I will push him to work on 50 yards here soon.

Paid $100 for the gun, and it was practically brand new. Bought it out of the paper from a guy who bought it for his kid about 20 years ago but he only shot it a few times. It had it's original box, all the papers and inserts that comes with a new gun, and it even came with the original Remington ammo that he bought with the gun way back when, including some 22 shorts and 22 Longs. It was like buying a new, 20-year-old gun.


   

   

   

This was taken in March of last year, shortly after we got it. He was 9 at the time.

   

And here it is as it is now with a 4x32 scope that came off my Ruger Air Hawk. He is getting really good with this set-up.
